Step by step
1. Keep the records
Store the quotation, approved changes, invoice, photos, product information and applicable warranty terms together.
2. Describe your concern
Provide the address, work date and roof section. Explain what you see and when it occurs. Take photos only from a safe place.
3. Discuss assessment
Ask what information or inspection is needed and whether any fees apply. A reported concern does not establish its cause or warranty coverage.
4. Record the outcome
Keep the agreed next steps, contact arrangements and any further proposal with your roof records.
Aftercare and warranty
Aftercare is the handling of questions after completion. Warranty coverage concerns the terms that apply to a defect. The cause and written agreement determine whether repair is covered. Ask about possible inspection or visit fees when reporting a concern.
Later work and maintenance
Before adding equipment or changing a roof detail, share the roof records with the contractor and clarify responsibilities. Agree on maintenance appropriate to the materials and roof condition.
